Birsa Agriculture University Vice Chancellor Dr. George John on Friday appealed to scientists to conduct research on agriculture keeping in mind Jharkhand’s regional situation,problems and climate change so that growth in agriculture production can be achieved and farmers can be happy.

Speaking on the occasion of the two-day 36th workshop organised by Kharif Anushandhan Parishad,Dr John opined that a planned effort was required to make use of indigenous agriculture practices followed by the people for ages.

Dr John also suggested to organise a workshop on ways to improve agriculture in league with the nature.

Other speakers were Bihar Agriculture University,Bhagalpur,VC,Dr A.K.Singh,Animal Husbandary Doctor S.N.Singh,BAU’s Communication Director Dr R.P.Singh,Dr D.K.Singh and Dr Sohan Ram,who delivered the concludinf speach.

The workshop was anchored by Dr Neeraj Kumar.
