The Congress party’s women’s wing committee members were up in arms against the ruling BJP.

Scores of its members on Friday took out a procession and burnt an effigy of the state Chief Minister Raghubar Das and the State BJP President Tala Marandi.

They were protesting against them on a specfic allegation that Marandi’s son Munna Marandi had got married on Tuesday June 29, 2016 with a girl who is alleged to be only 11- years old.

The agitationists had gathered at Albert Ekka Chowk, centre of Ranchi,on Friday. This had paralysed traffic for over an hour.No arrest was made by the police.

Notably, the ruling BJP leaders in Jharkhand had preferred to not to comment on the issue so far.But one BJP leader who does not want to be named said that the married girl was not minor as was being alleged.
