Thanks to Chatra Deputy Commissioner Smt. Keerthishree G, I.A.S, the management of NTPC North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (NKSTPP) has come forward to achieve this pro- women plan in Jharkhand.

In fact, due to Smt. Keerthishree G’s initiative, NKSTPP, in collaboration with the District Administration, Chatra, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to develop 25 Anganwadi Centres into Model Anganwadi Centres across Chatra district.

Under this move, NTPC will provide financial assistance amounting to ₹1,08,07,500. The project will be implemented under a structured project mode to ensure efficient execution and timely completion.
 
The project focuses on improving Maternal and Child Health, promoting early childhood care and pre-school education, and addressing key issues such as malnutrition. It is also expected to contribute towards reducing the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in the district.


The MoA was signed in the presence of Smt. Keerthishree G (I.A.S.), Deputy Commissioner, Chatra; Shri Alok Kumar Tripathi, Head of Project (HOP), NTPC North Karanpura; Shri Amrendra Kumar Sinha, D.D.C. ; and Shri Neeraj Roy, AGM (HR), NTPC North Karanpura.

Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Keerthishree G (I.A.S.), Deputy Commissioner, Chatra, said, “We appreciate NTPC North Karanpura’s committed efforts towards community development. This collaboration will not only strengthen Anganwadi infrastructure but also significantly enhance maternal and child health, nutrition, and early education outcomes, creating a sustainable and meaningful impact on the lives of the people of Chatra district.”

The development of these Model Anganwadi Centres is expected to create a lasting impact on the socio-economic well-being of the community, particularly benefiting women and children, and contributing towards building a healthier, more educated, and empowered society.
