

Ranchi : The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi has officially commenced its annual student fest ‘Avirbhav 6.0’ and ‘K.N. Prasad Cricket and Badminton Tournament.’
The four-day event, scheduled from April 23 to April 26, 2026, is witnessing participation from students across various states of India.
The Opening ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Kumar Rajat, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Ranchi, who formally declared the fest open. Addressing the students, he highlighted the importance of such events in developing essential life skills alongside academics.

The Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Ashok R. Patil, emphasized the cultural significance of the fest and its role in connecting students with Jharkhand’s rich heritage. Assistant Registrar In-Charge, Dr. Jisu Ketan Pattanaik extended gratitude to the organizing committee and conveyed his best wishes to all participants.
Avirbhav 6.0 brings together a wide spectrum of sports, cultural, and literary events. Sports competitions include cricket, football, futsal, volleyball, badminton, chess, and table tennis. Cultural events feature singing, dance, stand-up comedy, mono acts, painting, battle of bands, and fashion shows. Literary events include Model United Nations (MUN), debates, quizzes, poetry sessions, and open mic performances.
On the opening day, MUN sessions witnessed insightful deliberations on global security and international relations. Platforms such as UNGA, Lok Sabha Simulation, AIPPM, and UNHRC saw high levels of engagement and evidence-based discussions.
In sports highlights, DSPMU emerged victorious against AIL Mohali in a K. N. Prasad Memorial Cricket knockout match, while BAU defeated NUSRL (A) in another fixture. Basketball and other sporting events showcased strong teamwork, coordination, and competitive spirit.
The fest will conclude on April 26 with the University Foundation Day ceremony, where winners will be felicitated.
