A joint meeting regarding trade and investment prospects was organized today at the Chamber Bhavan between the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries and the Ballari District Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Karnataka. 

The meeting was prominently attended by Shri Arava Rajkamal, Secretary of Industries, Government of Jharkhand, and Shri Vishal Sagar, Director of Industries,Govt of Jharkhand.During the meeting, extensive deliberations took place between industry and trade representatives from Jharkhand and Karnataka regarding business ideas, investment opportunities, industrial collaboration, and trade expansion. 

Representatives from both states emphasized the need to work together with mutual coordination to foster industrial development in the future. At the commencement of the meeting, Shri Rohit Agarwal, General Secretary of the Chamber, welcomed the delegation from the Ballari District Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Karnataka. 

He stated that this meeting marks the beginning of a new chapter in industry, investment, tourism, and trade cooperation. Direct dialogue between entrepreneurs from Jharkhand and Karnataka will lend fresh momentum to trade collaboration.

Welcoming the officials from the Ballari Chamber to Jharkhand, Shri Aditya Malhotra, President of the Jharkhand Chamber, remarked that both Jharkhand and Karnataka possess immense potential for investment. 

He noted that Jharkhand is rapidly entering a new phase of industrial development. The state's Textile Policy is attractive, and a new Industrial Policy is set to be released shortly, which will present a golden opportunity for investors. He highlighted that Jharkhand is a mineral-rich state, endowed with various minerals including lithium, manganese, and bauxite. 

The state is power-surplus and faces no shortage of skilled manpower.He expressed confidence that, under the Hon'ble Chief Minister the state of Jharkhand would emerge as a leader in the fields of investment and industry.

Welcoming the entrepreneurs from Karnataka, Shri Vishal Sagar, Director of Industries, invited them to invest in Jharkhand. He noted that, for the first time, Jharkhand had participated in the World Economic Forum in Davos this year where the Jharkhand Chamber was also part of the delegation led by the Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren. 

CM also led a High Level Delegation to United Kingdom to explore Investment opportunities in the state.He stated that the state government is committed to jobs creation and industrial development.

Emphasizing the immense investment potential within the state, he highlighted that the food processing, tourism, and agriculture sectors offer vast opportunities for investment. He added that the Department of Industries remains readily available to provide every possible assistance to investors.

Shri Arava Rajkamal, Secretary of Industries, remarked that Jharkhand is an exceptionally rich state from an industrial perspective. It has huge mineral resources and has been a proven industrial powerhouse.The industrial units within our state serve as a testament to its industrial prowess. 

He noted that Ballari is a leader in the mining, manufacturing, and IT sectors, and that there are extensive opportunities for mutual learning and collaboration between the two states. He observed that the Jharkhand Chamber has initiated an excellent tradition of fostering industrial dialogue between states—an initiative expected to yield positive results in the near future. 

He further added that industries in Jharkhand are advancing rapidly and that the Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren possesses a visionary outlook regarding the state's development. The Hon'ble Chief Minister has the vision to create a complete value chain in the Mining sector from Mineral mining to High end solutions .

The Chief Minister similarly has the vision to positively transform the Agricultural and Food processing sector in the state with Women entrepreneurship as its cornerstone. He further added that the state holds tremendous potential in the Eco Tourism, Critical Minerals,Textiles & Ready Made Garments ,Food Processing and Super Foods Sectors.

Speaking on the investment prospects in Ballari, Shri Avvaru Manjunath, President of the Ballari District Chamber, extended an invitation to entrepreneurs from Jharkhand to invest in Karnataka. Officials from the Ballari Chamber also invited the Jharkhand Chamber to attend the MSME Conclave scheduled to be held in Bengaluru. During the meeting, entrepreneurs and traders from both states introduced their respective businesses and exchanged ideas.

During the event, the Ballari Chamber felicitated the Secretary of Industries and the Director of Industries.
