*Snow Leopard Gained Focus in the International Big Cat Alliance ( IBCA).
The International Big Cat Association ( IBCA) has used the social media platform X to promote the cause of the Snow Leopard.
On May 18, 2026, IBCA in its post on X said that they are the “Ghost of the Mountains.” The Snow Leopard remains one of the most elusive big cats across the globe.
IBCA added:” Adapted to high altitudes, it navigates steep, snow-covered landscapes with precision.
Camouflaged against rocky terrains, it survives in some of the harshest environments on Earth. Snow leopards inhabit mountain ranges that support glaciers and river systems sustaining millions of people downstream.
