Widespread rain and thunderstorms are expected across Jharkhand starting from the weekend of June 27–28 and intensifying through the end of the month as the southwest monsoon advances into the state.

Prior to that, the Indian Meteorological Department(IMD) expected mainly hot and humid weather with a few isolated, passing showers. The rainfall pattern for the upcoming week includes specific shifts to monitor:

*June 24 – 26: Hot and mostly sunny days with highs near 36°C to 37°C. There is a slight (15% to 25%) chance of passing afternoon showers.

*June 27 – 28: Conditions begin to transition with scattered thunderstorms and light rain as coverage increases to 35%–55%.

*June 29 – 30: A more active spell of rain is expected, with heavier thunderstorms and a 60% chance of rain cooling the state down to highs around 32°C to 33°C.
