Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi organized a plantation drive under the nationwide campaign 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' on its BSNL campus, with enthusiastic participation from the Director, faculty members, officers, and staff of the Institute.

The drive began with Prof. Rajeev Srivastava, Director, IIIT Ranchi, planting a sapling, following which faculty members, officers, and staff joined the initiative by planting saplings across different parts of the campus. The programme reflected the Institute's collective effort towards creating a greener and healthier environment.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Rajeev Srivastava said that protecting nature is a shared responsibility and small initiatives like planting and caring for trees can make a meaningful difference in the years to come. He encouraged everyone to actively contribute to environmental conservation in their daily lives.

The plantation drive was conducted as part of the national campaign that encourages every individual to plant a tree in the name of their mother, celebrating both motherhood and nature. Along with planting saplings, participants also pledged to nurture them and help maintain the greenery of the campus.

IIIT Ranchi regularly organizes activities that promote environmental awareness and encourage members of the institute to contribute towards a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
