
The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, will conduct its Orientation Programme 2026 for newly admitted students on August 1, 2026.
The event will welcome incoming batches of B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), and LL.M. programmes.
The inaugural session will be graced by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Mahesh Sharadchandra Sonak, Chief Justice of the High Court of Jharkhand and Chancellor of NUSRL Ranchi, as the Chief Guest.
The event will also be graced by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad, Judge, High Court of Jharkhand, as a Distinguished Guest, alongside Special Guest Shri Rohitashya Roy, Advocate General, State of Jharkhand, and other dignitaries.
The programme will commence with the ceremonial lamp lighting and the NUSRL Anthem. Prof. (Dr.) Ashok R. Patil, Vice Chancellor of NUSRL Ranchi, will deliver the welcome address, followed by the Orientation Address by the Hon’ble Chancellor. A book launch ceremony is also scheduled during the inaugural session.

The Orientation Programme aims to familiarise students with the University’s academic environment, core values, and institutional culture.
The post-lunch Induction Programme will provide comprehensive insights into university life, covering academic programmes, student welfare, anti-ragging regulations, the Internal Complaint Committee under the POSH Act, hostel administration, discipline, examination and evaluation systems, research centres, student societies, moot court activities, placement and internship opportunities, library facilities, and first-semester academic schedules.
Faculty members teaching in the first-semester courses will also be introduced to the students.
