Operation Prahar being utilized by other state police forces, such as in Goa and Odisha, has reached Jharkhand.
Under Operation Prahar operation,a special statewide crackdown framework targeting illegal narcotics and drug peddling crafted by the Union Home Ministry, the Jharkhand police has begun investigation into the network responsible for suppliers, transporters and dealers.
The move follows arrest of two persons who were ‘brothers’ and seizure of 443 kg of ganja worth Rs 2.20 crore.
The police have also seized the vehicles used to transport this huge quantity of ganja( Marijuana).
Police are currently probing the wider producer and supply network.
