Jharkhand govt is headed towards building a world- class guest house along the sea coast in Puri, Odisha, to extend accommodation facilities for visitors from the state. 

The guest house billed as ‘Atithi Bhawan’ on a plot at Balukhand located on the sea coast near Konark Wild Life Sanctury in Odisha.

The plan outlay for the Puri guest house was nearly Rs. 99 crore.Right now, the state government of Jharkhand runs a guest house on a rented building.The project report for the new guest house was complete, said a report adding that the state Building Construction Department has approved it.And, the Detaild Project Report was also approved by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

As per available information, the new guest house will provide lodging facility to Ministers, Legislatures, Bureaucrats, staff and general people.

The new facility will come up over 0.35 acre plot at Balukhand, near Konark Wildlife Sanctuary and eight kilometres from Jagannath Temple.

The state Building Construction Department (BCD) had floated an e-tender to appoint a consultancy firm for the preparing a detailed project report (DPR) and project management consultancy (PMC) firm for the project.
