*NCCF Ranchi has started retail distribution of Onions in Ranchi through mobile vans in presence of Media Personal

In what appears to be a major step to shield households from surging onion prices, the National Cooperative Consumers' Federation of India (NCCF) has commenced the direct retail sale of buffer-stock onions at a subsidised rate of ₹35 per kilogram in Ranchi.

The market intervention aims to stabilize local market rates and ensure direct, affordable access for daily consumers across Jharkhand.

The state-level rollout kicked off today in the capital city via dedicated mobile vans dispatched across key transit points, residential pockets, and major commercial roundabouts.

The van will cover major locations in Ranchi.

These locations  include:

  • Morahabadi
  • Pahari Mandir
  • Birla Maidan
  • Birsa Chowk
  • Hatia, Sector 2 (Dhurwa)
  • Piska More
  • Argora Chowk
  • Harmu Bazar
  • Indira Nagar

Following the initial Ranchi rollout, NCCF plans to expand the mobile van network across other districts throughout Jharkhand in the coming days.

To help consumers track daily schedules, route changes, and mobile van stops in their neighborhoods, daily location updates will be published across official NCCF social media handles.
