It was the day of boating for the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court, Mr. Justice Mahesh Sharadchandra Sonak, his spouse, and other distinguished dignitaries from Koderma Civil Court and the District Administration, on the waters of Tilaiya Dam.

They were learnt to have enjoyed a memorable boating experience on the serene waters of the Tilaiya Dam in Koderma, Jharkhand.

This was on September 6, 2026. The Chief Justice Mahesh Sharadchandra Sonak’s gracious visit had added another memorable chapter to Tilaiya Dam’s rich legacy of hospitality and heritage.

Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) welcomed Mr. Justice Mahesh Sharadchandra Sonak, along with His Lordship’s spouse and other distinguished dignitaries from Koderma Civil Court and the District Administration.

The dignitaries visited Tilaiya Dam and G.B. House. During the visit, the Hon’ble Chief Justice and accompanying guests are learnt to have enjoyed a memorable boating experience on the serene waters of the Tilaiya Dam.

The Chief Justice was received by Shri Sanjay Kumar, CGM & HOP, KTPS, at Tilaiya Dam.
