An Inter-Media Publicity Coordination Committee (IMPCC) meeting was organised by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Ranchi, at the auditorium of the UIDAI Regional Office, Ranchi, on 09 September 2026. 

The meeting was chaired by Shri Akhil Kumar Mishra, Additional Director General, PIB Ranchi/Bhubaneswar. Shri Gaurav Kumar Pushkar, Head of Office, PIB and Central Bureau of Communication, Ranchi, introduced the subject. Shri Akhilesh Kumar Gupta, DDG, UIDAI Ranchi, described IMPCC as an important link for coordination among various offices.

Shri Akhil Kumar Mishra highlighted various aspects of effective communication and said that human sensitivity is essential in communication. Communication undertaken with a human perspective becomes more effective.

Shri Rajarshi Dey, Director (Grievance), UIDAI, informed that Aadhaar Seva Kendras are being expanded from three to 14 districts in Jharkhand by September 2026, with 10 centres already operational. CSC Aadhaar Seva Kendras are available in 22 districts.

Shri Diwakar Kumar, Doordarshan, informed about the dissemination of stories related to 10 years of UPI, the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana and Ayushman Bharat beneficiaries, as well as Doordarshan’s focus on MMDR 2026. 

Smt. Mahvish Rahman, Head of the Akashvani News Unit, stressed outreach to 24 districts and dissemination of public-interest information in regional languages. Shri Prabhu Sharan from Akashvani, shared information on programmes related to cyber fraud, misleading advertisements, Lok Adalat, agriculture and Poshan Maah.

Dr. Sundaram, CGHS, shared information on more than 30 empanelled hospitals in Ranchi, the approved location for the Jamshedpur centre, and proposals for an Ayurveda centre and laboratory. Assistant Commercial Manager, South Eastern Railway, Ranchi Division, Shri Abhijit Biswas, highlighted the Amrit Bharat stations, 60 special train trips, 95.78 per cent punctuality, the 139 helpline and the Rail One app.

Dr. Pradeep Paul, IOCL Ranchi Division, shared information on supply arrangements during the West Asia crisis, the 5-kg ‘Chhotu’ LPG cylinder, and XP95/XP100 products. Shri Amit Kumar, NABARD, informed about cooperative bank computerisation, FPOs, GI products, the Rural Business Incubation Centre and the Gramin Bharat Mahotsav to be held in Ranchi from 11-20 September.

Shri Amit Kumar, CISF (ASG), informed about the safe operation of flights carrying approximately 3,200 passengers daily at Ranchi Airport and Digi Yatra. Dr. Niranjan Prasad, ICAR-NISA, shared information on research and technology transfer. 

Dr. Baburaj P.P., Director, Meteorological Department, informed that 21 Automatic Weather Stations and rain gauge stations support daily seven-day weather forecasts, three-hourly nowcasts and agromet bulletins. 

Sushri Shreya Shrey, Geological Survey of India, shared information on the role of the 176-year-old institution, mineral exploration in Jharkhand, indications of lithium in Koderma, graphite in Palamu-Latehar and the National Geoscience Data Repository. Shri Ujjwal Bhaskar, Communication Head, SAIL, Ranchi, apprised the participants of SAIL’s functioning, history and achievements. 

The meeting was attended by Shri Neeraj Kumar, Director, UIDAI Regional Office; Shri Xavier Kandulna from Akashvani; Shri Chandan Kumar Singh from Ranchi Railway Division; Shri Abdul Kalam Ansari from UIDAI Regional Office; and staff members of PIB Ranchi.
