The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, in collaboration with MyGov, Government of India,has organised the ‘MyGov Connect’ programme on 10 October 2026, at the university campus. 

The programme aims to engage young people in citizen participation, good governance and nation-building, while encouraging their active contribution towards the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. More than 200 students from various universities and colleges are expected to participate in the event.

Prof. (Dr.) Ashok R. Patil, Vice-Chancellor of NUSRL, will address the participants. Shri Ajit Kumar, IAS, Chief Executive Officer of MyGov, will join the programme online to motivate the students. Representatives from MyGov are going to share information about various citizen engagement initiatives, the ‘MyGov Saathi’ programme, and opportunities for young people to participate in governance processes.

The programme also features cultural performances by university students, including group dance, street plays, poetry recitation and singing. During a session on ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’, students will share their perspectives on themes such as Viksit Bharat, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Digital India, Startup India, Make in India, green growth and the circular economy.

A MyGov quiz on consumer awareness will also be organised to familiarise students with consumer rights and responsibilities. In addition, a plantation drive will be conducted on the university campus under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign to promote environmental conservation and sustainable development. 

As part of the initiative, 20 saplings are planned to be planted with the participation of students, faculty members, MyGov Saathis and distinguished guests. Students will also share their views on environmental protection, climate change and sustainable development.

‘MyGov Connect’ is an important initiative to familiarise young people with opportunities for citizen engagement through digital platforms and encourage them to play an active role in public policy, good governance and nation-building. 

The programme will provide a platform for students to express their ideas, engage with social concerns and contribute to the national vision of making India a developed nation by 2047.
