ESL Steel Plant in Jharkhand’s Bokaro district is reeling under pressure to overcome the loss of its two persons.

Reports said, two persons were killed following gas exposure at the ESL Steel plant in Jharkhand's Bokaro district on Sunday (October 11, 2026).

The steel manufacturing company has asserted that its will conduct an ‘independent investigation’ into the accident and take an appropriate step based on the findings.

What caused the gas exposure? Was it due to any form of leak? No body knows the truth.

When asked to explain the root cause of gas exposure, ESL spokesperson said,"An unfortunate incident involving gas exposure occurred in the plant in which an executive of the company and a business partner engineer lost their lives.”

ESL Steel Limited, Bokaro, is a subsidiary of Vedanta Iron & Steel Limited (VISL).

The company spokesperson did not provide details of the accident and the identity of the deceased.
