Inaugurated by Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar in Ranchi on October 22, the three-day Swarnim Bharat Expo 2026 ending on October 24,2026 brought government initiatives, technological progress and development opportunities into public view. Beyond showcasing national achievements, the exhibition highlights a larger imperative: ensuring that young people and citizens across communities can translate information, skills and resources into meaningful progress.

A Window into India’s Development Journey

Held under the theme “12 Years of Trust, Development and Public Welfare”, the exhibition presents major Central Government schemes and India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047. Organised by the Central Bureau of Communication, it uses photographs, LED presentations and informational material to explain development initiatives and the country’s progress.

Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu and other public representatives visited the exhibition, which attracted school students and members of the public.

Youth, Skills and Responsible Citizenship

Addressing the inauguration, Governor Gangwar highlighted advances in science, technology, space, healthcare, education, agriculture, infrastructure and digital services. He emphasised that achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat requires active participation from every citizen.

He urged young people to pursue education, sports, skill development and creative activities while staying away from drugs. Referring to the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, he stressed that nurturing healthy, capable young citizens is a collective responsibility.

Jharkhand’s Strengths, New Opportunities

The Governor underlined Jharkhand’s potential, rooted in its natural resources, tribal heritage, art, culture and talented youth. Linking these strengths with modern technology, entrepreneurship and practical skills, he said, could accelerate the state’s development.

He also highlighted the importance of helping residents, particularly those in remote areas, understand and access welfare schemes, employment opportunities and skill-development initiatives.

The Message: Progress Must Become Possibility

A development vision gains substance when citizens can participate in it and experience its benefits. For Jharkhand, this means combining its natural and cultural wealth with education, innovation, entrepreneurship and inclusive opportunity. The lasting value of Swarnim Bharat Expo will lie not simply in displaying achievements, but in inspiring informed choices and practical action towards a more capable, self-reliant and equitable India by 2047.
