The inter school pipe band competition was organised in the premises of Kairali School, Ranchi today.

The competition was participated by six schools-Bishop Westcott Boys School, Namkum,Bishop Westcott Girls School, Namkum,W.John Multipurpose school,Bishop School, Bahu Bazaar,St.Thomas school and Kairali School, Dhurwa.

Kairali School took the privilege to host this competition. Jharkhand’s ADG (Operational) S.N Pradhan presided over the function as the chief guest.The other dignitaries were K.Joy (President Malayalee Association Ranchi),S.H Nathan (Chairman School Management Committee),K.Rameshan (General Secretary) and P.K Unithan (Secretary School Management Committee) graced the occasion.

The competition started with a floral welcome to the chief guest and other dignitaries which was followed by a cultural dance by the students. The Principal of Kairali School,C.J Jacob emphasised in his address to the audience for the holistic development of the students and for the same such competitions give them a platform to show their talents.

The Chief Guest lauded the efforts of the students and the admired the approach of C.J Jacob to take such initiatives to enhance the growth of the students. The participants looked exuberant in their attire and their synchronisation was well admired by the august audience filling the air with the aroma of the drum beats and bag pipes.

The judges for the completion Constable Umesh Thapa and Constable Kumar Rana observed the programme thoroughly and judged the endless efforts of the students. The first prize was awarded to Kairali School, Ranchi; W.John Multipurpose school, Nagri bagged the second prize.
