The Jharkhand government has decided to set up fast track courts in five districts for speedy trial of cases relating to witchcraft incidents.

The Cabinet has approved the setting up of courts in Ranchi, Chaibasa, Khunti, Palamau and Simdega districts, an official release said in Ranchi.

Due to prevailing superstition among a section of rural populace, witchcraft-related attacks take place in the state.
