Central Coalfields Limited(CCL) has always seen itself as a responsible organization of this country. As such,under its Community Social Responsibility,the company has undertaken the drive to develop villagers,downtrodden and workers who are directly or indirectly associated with CCL.

Continuing this legacy, CCL has initiated a program of Skill Development for unemployed youth from Project Affected Families (PAPs) spread out in command areas of the company at MSDC, Barkakana. These meritorious rural youths are being trained for the job of electrician and welders through a six month training programme.

The aim of this scheme has not only been to provide training to these rural youths but also to ensure employment for them. CCL has organized placement drive under the leadership of CMD CCL, Gopal Singh for 44 students of the first batch at “Vichar Manch” Darbhanga House, Ranchi in which 24 companies participated.

Representatives of 24 companies from Jharkhand and other states gave a brief introduction about their respective organizations and about their requirement specially welders and electricians. All of them appreciated this unique initiative started by PM Skill India and CCL is implementing effectively.

Director (Tech/Operation), CCL P.K. Tiwari said while addressing the representatives of companies that our responsibility is not only to provide training but to ensure their employment too. We are trying to provide quality training to these students which also help in the progress of their families. He also asked for inputs from the representative of the industry so that necessary improvement can be made in the courses in coming session.

This employment fair has been organized under the guidance of General Manager (Excavation) Malay Kumar and his team.
