harkhand DGP D.K.Pandey with police officials in Palamau on January 16,2017

Jharkhand DGP D.K.Pandey on Monday appealed to Maoists to surrender.In case,they don’t do this they should be ready to face the operation to nab them and bring them to justice,said the DGP.

“The days of Naxals are past”,said the DGP while addressing a meeting of senior police officials in Palamau.He even threatened them to face the boolet of security forces if they preferred not to surrender.

The meeting attended among others by R.K.Dhan,IG(Operation),Palamau DIG, Vipul Shukla,Palamau Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar,Palamau SP Indrajeet Mahata,Garhwa SP Alok,STF In-charge SP, Anuranjan Kispotta and CRPF officers,was held to review the operation against anti Left Wing Extremists in Palamau.

Reports from Latehar said, the security forces were involved in an excercise to trap two veteran Maoists-Sudhakaran and Arvind.rs one crore was fixed as award on the head of the two Maoists who were wanted in more than two dozen criminal cases each.
