Nidhi Khare, Principal Secretary, Administrative Reform, met with representatives from the World Bank to discuss Jharkhand Service Delivery Programme and asked them to prepare a timeline for the year. She stressed on the necessity of revamping the Pragya Centres so that they would work more efficiently.
Among other things, net connectivity, process audit and process re-engineering, complaint redressal programmes needed to be upgraded immediately. The present online service delivery system needs improvement. It may be recalled that in the last few months students faced difficulty because they could not get appropriate certificates from the Pragya centres on time, due to poor net connectivity.
In the meeting the draft bylaws, regulations and memorandum of the proposed Jharkhand Service Delivery Enhancement Society was presented for perusal and further discussion. Also present at the meeting were Dr. RajMohan, State nodal medical officer, Mr. Gajanand Ram, Urban Development and Housing Dept., NIC Mr. Umesh Prasad Sinha, Mr. Rajkumar Gupta of JAP –IT, World Bank Programme leader Ms. Rajni Khanna, Lead Specialist Sri Vikram Chand and others.
