Tribal girls, who are out of sanitary pads users system, have to be made aware of its benefits.Many of them fail to use it due to its cost,reveals a study.
Dwarka Kumar,a school teacher,who conducted a random survey among 298 tribal girls in rural areas of Simdega,Khunti and Lohardaga on November 14,2017 concluded that 85 percent of them used waste paper and used cotton garments as sanitary pads.Reason?
"They belonged to poor families who can not afford to buy sanitary pads.As a result,they suffer from untold miseries",said the survey report.
