Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid foundation stones for developmental projects worth Rs 27,000 crore from Sindri in Dhanbad.

After laying foundation stones, the PM Modi addressed a huge public meeting in the coal town. The meeting attended by hundreds of enthusiastic people, each beating the heat in the peak of summer in the coal city, was addressed among others by Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das.    

These development projects were part of fulfilling promises he had made to the people of Jharkhand, said chief minister Raghubar Das who accompanied him at the project inaugural functions.

The event took place on the completion of four years of the central government. 

Among the foundation laying functions of the projects include a power plant project at Patratu in Ramgarh district.

NTPC plans to set up the 3x800 MW thermal plant in the first phase and 2x800 MW in the second phase in collaboration with Jharkhand Bijli Vitaran Nigam Ltd. The project is worth Rs 18,668 crore.

Another project entails an investment of Rs 7,000 crore to revive the ailing Sindri Fertiliser company which has been lying dead for decades leaving its personnel, their families and farmers keep cribbing. Now, with the launch of this Fertiliser company, residents of Sindri were learned to be in cheers.
