India has managed to strongly strengthen its military strength by entering into deals with Russia on one hand and the USA on the other hand.

With Russia, it stands tall to procure S-400 anti-aircraft missile launching system. This can make the Indian Air Force ahead of its rivals in Asia, claim defence experts.

Now, it has inked a long-negotiated pact. As per this pact, critical and encrypted defence technologies' will be provided to the Indian military by the Americans.

This became apparent after the 'Communications, Compatibility, Security Agreement (COMCASA)' was signed after the first two-plus-two talks External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had with US Secretary of State Michael R Pompeo and Defence Secretary James Mattis on Thursday.

As per the agreement, the COMCASA will facilitate India to obtain critical defence technologies from the US, and access critical communication network to ensure interoperability between the US and the Indian armed forces.

More, US has agreed to allow the installation of its high-security US communication equipment on defence platforms, thanks to successful international relation policy of the Narendra Modi government.
