Potholes on main roads. Power cuts every day.Monthly salary of government staff and officials not paid due to fund crunch.
Keeping these burning common cause of the people, Chief Minister Raghubar Das is headed towards the United Arab Emirates on December 15.Reason?
Das says he will hold a roadshow. The aim is to make the youth skilled in the run-up of the Skill Summit scheduled to take place in the State in the new year-2019.
The critic said that the CM had 'misused' public fund in 'crores' by visiting several countries including Japan to invite investment during the past four years of his tenure ."Now, he is going to UAE to welcome New Year 2019 with his officials", said Dipak Munda, a tea shop owner.
But the CM Das has his own logic.“There is a demand for skilled youths for employment in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. However, our youth are caught in the middle of middlemen, so there is a need to talk directly to the companies providing employment."
As it is, while the state govt will remain hit by the fund shortage and the people in Ranchi will suffer from power cuts, potholed roads, and mosquito menace, the CM will be holding a roadshow in Dubai on December 16-17.
The move comes at a time when the ruling BJP will face General Lok Sabha polls and the CM Das has to come clean on his promise to provide 1 lakh jobs to the youths in the new year on January 11. Trapped in his own government created the financial crisis and misgovernance, Raghubar Das appears to have made a mockery of himself and the ruling BJP in Jharkhand.
