General elections have not been notified by the Election Commission. But, while the Opposition parties were yet to form Mahagathbandhan, the ruling BJP appears to be in top gear.

The ruling party is busy preparing the poll campaign. Already, the party has decided to invite BJP national president Amit Shah kick start party's election campaign from the opposition JMM's home land-Santhal Pargana.

The move was to boost the morale of party workers. Toward the same end, Shah plans to address party workers in Godda on March 5. The state unit of the party cadres from panchayat, block, districts of Santhal Pargana have been invited to attend what it calls-Shakti Kendra Sammelan.

State BJP general secretary Deepak Prakash claims that nearly 14000 party men are going to take part in the Shakti Kendra Sammelan in Godda where the opposition JMM-Congress and the JVM led by ex-CM Babulal Marandi have locked horns.

"We expect that many party workers are going to attend the function”, said Prakash.

As it is, Shah's Godda campaign gains importance because, in the past, he was supposed to visit this place twice. But he had not attended any programme. This time the party's senior executive members from different Morchas and Cells have been invited to attend the function.

It is learnt that senior leaders from State including Chief Minister Raghubar Das, State BJP president Laxman Gilua, ministers of State Cabinet and MPs and MLAs from Santhal Pargana are slated to attend the Sammelan.

Incidentally, Election Commission of India (ECI) is likely to announce the poll dates on the first week of March.  By launching the election campaign from the Santhal region, the party also wants to give a message to its party leaders to work hard in the region.

Right now, the state government including its IT Department led Village Level Workers were campaigning at the village level to make people aware of the Modi government's prime schemes such as Ujjwala, power, housing and toilets schemes are meant for all. Beneficiaries are from all sections of society.
