Bokaro and Dhanbad are reeling from the shock of the death of all members of a family due to the coronavirus. All its six members -mother and five sons-have died in a short span of fewer than two weeks.

The age of the mother was 88-years. She passed away at a nursing home in the district town of Bokaro on July 4. Soon, her sons who were 65,67,72, 70 and 60 years old had died wishing two weeks at different COVID-19 hospitals in Dhanbad. The cause of one of her son’s death was attributed to ‘cancer’ though.

Worse, two more members  of the same family have also tested positive.”Their condition is stable”, said Gopal Das, Civil Surgeon, Dhanbad.
