Following a directive by the Chief Minister Hemant Soren, DGP MV Rao intervened and the Barhet Police Station In-Charge was suspended on the charge of beating up a girl.

The girl was allegedly beaten by the Barhet police station in-charge. The Chief Minister said that this is such a shameful act.”It can't be tolerated”, he opined.

After the Chief Minister directed the DGP, Barhet police station in-charge was suspended. Soon, the Director-General of Police informed the Chief Minister that the accused has been sent to the police line and is suspended. 

DSP, Bhaderwa has been directed to conduct an inquiry and report by tomorrow evening. Further action will be taken accordingly after the report. Instructions have been issued for the safety of the victim.

The Chief Minister was informed through a video about how the police station in-charge of Barhet misbehaved with a Dalit girl. In the video, the police station in-charge is beating and abusing the girl.
