Two festivals of two religious communities fall on one day this year. This means that Sharad Purnima and Laxmi Puja of the Hindus and the Nabid and Mawlid of the Muslims belonging to the Sufi or Barelvi school of thought celebrate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad as Eid Milad-un-Nabi or Eid-e-Milad on Friday-October 30,2020.

All state government offices remain closed today.

While Hindus prefer to keep fast to mark the Sharad Purnima and Laxmi puja, festivities end on October 30. Eid Milad Un Nabi is celebrated across the world in the third month of the Muslim lunar calendar.
