Tripurari Prasad,79, son of Late Debi Prasad (I.P.S) and Late Kishori Devi, who was the elder brother of senior journalist Manoj Prasad, passed away in Ranchi today. 

He, who was the father of Abhijeet Prasad, Seema Prasad and Abhisheikh Prasad ‘Pintu’, Media Advisor to CM Hemant Soren, is slated to be cremated at Harmu Mukti Dham on Monday evening.

Prasad, who retired as Deputy Director of the state Tourism Department in 1998, is credited to have played a key role in several tourism development projects in Jharkhand. 

These works included setting up of the Hotel Ashok, Birsa Vihar complex, Ranchi-Patna Bus service and construction of Parytan Bhawan in Dhanbad.

He was loving, caring and full of energy. He filled every room with stories of his past adventures. To sweeten it, he enjoyed cooking a meal for his loved ones.

His presence will be missed by everyone who knows him.
