The 20th Establishment day of Jharkhand is being celebrated across the state amidst Coronavirus pandemic.

Unlike previous years,when the state government held mega cultural programme at Morahabadi Maidan in Ranchi,the celebration is on a mild form with offices remaining closed and no pomp and show visible any where in Jharkhand.

In previous years more than Rs 35 crores were spent on official programmes. This year no massive expenditure from the state government treasury is recorded.

Since the state establishment day falls on the birth anniversary of the tribal hero Birsa Munda, Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu and Chief Minister Hemant Soren offered floral tribute to Birsa Munda in Ranchi.
