In an exchange of fire between police-security forces and Maoists, one Maoist was killed in Jharkhand.

The exchange of fire took place at a remote hill located near Serak village in Chandwa block of Latehar district in Jharkhand on Wednesday.

The Maoists belonged to the banned Maoists outfit called Tritiya Prastuti Committee, confirmed Latehar SP Prasant Anand. The security forces had recovered one AK-47 rifle.
