The electric crematorium is non -functional. The wood needed to cremate the dead bodies was not available at Ghagra cremation site near Doranda in Ranchi. Result?

A queue was formed of ambulances carrying dead bodies at the Mukti Dham cremation site in Ranchi. This heart-breaking and the unprecedented scene was visible there today when Coronavirus casualty continued to surge upward.

All ambulances were spotted in a queue. However, after the picture went viral on social media, the state administration got active. The wood was transported to Ghagra cremation site.

By 5 pm, 38 bodies were cremated on a priority basis though the SDO, Ranchi provided cremation data of 27 bodies.
