Celebrated by the Muslim community across the world, Eid marks the end of the month-long fasting period of Ramadan.

The religious festival is celebrated in the month of Shawwal. This year, it begins on the evening of May 13 and will continue until the evening of May 14.

While the festival is celebrated by meeting loved ones and enjoying lavish feasts, the celebrations this year are taking place for the second consecutive year amid lockdown due to the Covid pandemic.

Most people are celebrating the annual festival at home while following the Covid protocol, maintaining a safe distance from each other and wearing masks up to the nose.

The entire team of JharkhandStateNews believes that Eid is a day to be grateful to Allah for all of his heavenly blessings on us. Wishing you a happy Eid!
