Two ex veteran leaders of the opposition camp have gained attention by remaining free from Coronavirus in India.
They are Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and Rashtriya Janata Dal Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav. The deadly coronavirus has failed to infect them though the states -UP and Bihar-to which they belong respectively, were badly hit.
Both of them are credited to have remained indoors. And, if that old dictum -prevention is better than cure- makes any sense, both Yadavs followed disinfection practices.
These disinfection practices are important to reduce the potential for COVID-19 virus contamination in non-healthcare settings, such as in the home, office, schools, gyms, publicly accessible buildings, faith-based community centres, markets, transportation and business settings, or restaurants.
Though two other practices, prescribed by Covid protocol issued by the Modi government, wearing masks and maintaining a safe distance of 2-3 metres from each other, did not figure in their daily practices, they remained self quarantined, it is learnt.
As both of them are aging and suffering from several other non-coronavirus diseases, they were advised by their doctors to consume medicines advised by them.
Notably, none of them have criticized the Modi government on any issue till date. Their silence must have been silently welcomed by the BJP leaders!
