A major reshuffle of senior officers is on the cards,according to official sources.
Apart from heads of departments and secretaries/principal secretaries,some Deputy Commissioners, SPs,Joint secretaries and Deputy Collectors are likely to be transferred.

A list of the transfer and postings is being prepared by the concerned officials,it is learnt.The buzz is that the transfer and posting may take place after three day visit of the President Pranab Mukherjee in Santhal Pargana beginning April 29 ends on May 1.

Though the reshuffle is supposed to be effected on criteria such as waiting for posting,performance and duration of the office held by the officer concerned,the electoral interests of the ruling Congress can be instrumental in some cases.
