It is the 2nd Foot Over Bridge at Kharagpur Station in Kharagpur Division of South Eastern Railway. It is helping passengers cross over to platforms.

“We are very happy and experiencing the ease of boarding the train”, said a passenger echoing the sentiments of several passengers at Kharagpur railway station.

The Foot Over Bridge was inaugurated by Sri Dilip Ghosh, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) in presence of Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager, South Eastern Railway, Sri Manoranjan Pradhan, Divisional Railway Manager, Kharagpur and other Senior Officials of South Eastern Railway today morning (30.09.2021).

The 2nd Foot Over Bridge at Kharagpur Station in Kharagpur Division of South Eastern Railway inaugurated by Sri Dilip Ghosh, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) in presence of Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager, South Eastern Railway today morning (30.09.2021).

The 2nd Foot Over Bridge at Kharagpur station constructed at a cost of Rs. 25 crores is 6.1 metre wide and 283 metre long and connected to all the platforms of Kharagpur station. This facility will improve the dispersal & mobility of incoming and outgoing passengers at Kharagpur station.

While inaugurating the Foot Over Bridge, Sri Dilip Ghosh, Hon’ble Member of Parliament congratulated the railway authority for taking dynamic steps to complete the project in war footing measures which will help the travelling passengers, especially during busy hours.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager informed that lots of infrastructure developmental works have been completed viz. up keeping of circulating areas, waiting hall, drinking water facilities, seating arrangements at the platform, better road connectivity, etc. She also stated that in the future lots of works will be undertaken to facilitate the travelling passengers of Kharagpur Station.
