The French 3D experience company, Dassault Systèmes has entered into a partnership with TEXMiN (Technology Innovation in Exploration and Mining) Foundation, the technology innovation hub of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad to set up a Centre of Excellence of international standards, disclosed Telegraphindia.com.

Inquiry revealed that the Dassault Systemes company will be located at IIT ISM campus in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, and will provide radical technology support and prepare the workforce of the future, specific to the mining and allied industries. 

“As a technology and solution partner, Dassault Systèmes will provide experiential learning through its 3D Experience platform to support the industrial and startup ecosystem with complete pit-to-port optimisation — from geological modelling and mine engineering to the workforce and production scheduling, supply chain optimization, portfolio optimisation and plant design”, states Telegraphindia.com’s report from its Dhanbad correspondent.

“Today, sustainability, traceability, and safety are paramount for mining organisations. This can only be achieved by accelerating their digital transformation journey and integrating the entire value chain from the mine, to the plant, to the port. This partnership will empower students and professionals with unique learning opportunities, preparing them for this fast-paced industry,” said a communique from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. 

“The courses and curricula will be designed by combining virtual worlds on the 3D Experience platform which delivers a single source of truth to unlock the capabilities of complete digital transformation and experience the new reality of sustainable mining and metals.”

“We are excited to collaborate with Dassault Systèmes for setting up the Mining Technology Excellence Centre and giving our students the opportunity to experience on-the-job learning environment via virtual simulations. We are committed to train the new generation of innovators, startups, and professionals with future-ready innovation technologies,” said Telegraphindia report quotes Naresh Soni, CEO of TexMin, and IIT (ISM) Dhanbad as saying.
