TMH handles the bulk of the load of serious patients in Jamshedpur leading to ever increasing demand for critical care beds in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, Critical Care Unit and High Dependency Unit. However, a large number of serious patients coming to TMH Emergency require to be stabilized immediately prior to transfer to the wards / critical units keeping in mind that with every passing minute a serious case tends to deteriorate.

The project’s basic aim is to ensure that immediate treatment measures are taken for serious patients during patient transportation from TMH
Emergency to other areas.

The new Resuscitation Bay has five beds and possesses all facilities for cardio-respiratory support (including ventilators, ECGs, defibrillators, piped oxygen supply, suction facility to name a few).
