The Supreme Court today stayed the proceedings carried forward by the Jharkhand High Court in the PILs against Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his associates.
The division bench of Justice UU Lalit and ST Bhat passed the order while hearing a Special Leave Petition of the state government challenging the ‘maintainability’ order passed by the Jharkhand High Court in favour of the PILs( 4290/21 and 727/22) filed by Shiv Shankar Sharma.
However, the top court concluded the hearing and passed the verbal order. The petitioner in his PILs had accused the CM Hemant Soren and his associates besides gaining a stone mining lease for himself.
The SC’s order provides relief to the CM Hemant Soren and associates.
