Inquiry revealed that the BJP sticker-carrying vehicle used by the IT sleuths to conduct raid at the premises of the Congress MLA Kumar Jaimangal alias Anup Singh in Bermo, Bokaro district in Jharkhand on November 4 is owned by Dinesh Mahto.
Mahto who does not belong to BJP uses this car to run as a taxi. The IT sleuths had procured this vehicle on rent and made a movement to conduct raids at the premise of the Congress MLA Anup Singh.
When contacted owner of the car carrying the BJP’s sticker said that he does not belong to the BJP or JMM. “Once my car was taken on rent by a BJP leader who had pasted this sticker on his car. “ I failed to remove it ”, said Mahto.
Soon after the BJP sticker-carrying taxi carried IT sleuths, photographers and media persons used social media platforms causing storms in political circles. Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren and several other Congress leaders went for BJP’s jugular over the issue and the BJP dubbed it as part of their “conspiracy”.
But the ruling JMM is not ready to budge. “ The taxi owner is a BJP supporter. It means the IT sleuths had a link with him”, said a JMM leader.
“Now it is clear that the ruling coalition leaders led by CM Hemant Sorenji who is caught in a mining scam are crying foul on false ground. They have the right to protest as much as we have. But protest should not be based on imagined wrong and injustice”, said a BJP leader.
