He was most wanted Maoist by security forces. Now CPI( Maoist) zonal commander of West Singhbhum region in Jharkhand,Kuldeep Ganjhu is in custody of the police.

Ganjhu had surrendered on Tuesday in Chaibasa. This was considered as a major success of the police, claimed SP of West Singhbhum Ashutosh Shekhar.

The security forces have been conduction search operations to fish out Maoists including Ganjhu who was leading CPI (Maoist) and was accused in more than two dozen cases of crime,for over a decade.

A resident of another corner of the state coal belt region Khelari in Ramgarh district, Ganjhu was facing serious charges including,Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), attempt to murder, arms act, and rioting among others. 

One of the important cases that he was accused of was under the Goelkera Police Station on January 5 where the former BJP MLA Gurucharan Nayak was attacked and two policemen were killed.
