The murder of Facebook actress Riya Kumari alias Isha Alya has taken an U- turn with police arresting her husband in West Bengal.

Prakash Kumar, who claimed that Riya was  shot dead at Howrah in West Bengal early Wednesday morning. This was the time when Kumar claimed that he together with Riya and their three- year old daughter were travelling to Kolkata from Ranchi and on the highway,robbers shot her dead while he was attending nature’s call.

Kumar, in his complaint, had also claimed that three men tried to rob them when he stopped the car at a desolate place around 6am as he “wanted to answer nature’s call.
"When Riya tried to resist, she was shot from point blank range,” claimed Kumar.

But investigation by the police revealed that the area was desolat. “Kumar drove down around two kilometres to seek help. The victim was rushed to Uluberia hospital where she was declared dead.”

“Kumar has been arrested. He would be produced in the court on Thursday,” a senior police officer said adding that Riya was Kumar’s second wife.

Allegations have also surfaced that Kumar used to mentally and physically torture Riya. Police said her family have lodged a complaint in this regard.

The accused had described himself as a director and told the police that Riya was a popular actor and a Youtuber in Jharkhand.However, truth is neither he nor she were stars in Bollywood or any regional film industry.
