The long-awaited project implementation of Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUN), a joint venture of a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd with a shareholding of 74 % and Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited with a shareholding of 26 percent, has taken a step forward.

Now, the day is not far when PVUN will start producing and supplying electricity.

Today, on February 22, 2023, the Stator of 800MW TG 1 was lifted. It was successfully placed on the foundation at 18 metres of TG Hall in Patratu, Jharkhand.

The activity commenced with a Pooja Ceremony participated by Shri Ravindra Kumar, CEO (PVUN), Shri S.K. Panda, GM (Project), Shri Sanjay Kumar, HOD (ME). The event was witnessed by all HODs, PVUN employees, Project Director of BHEL, employees & their associates.

Stator weighing 450MT was lifted using both the EOT cranes under tandem operation. The Stator is the stationary part of a rotary system found in electric generators through which the energy flows. 

With this PVUN Ltd has achieved another significant milestone of the project.
