Ranchi city woke up to cloudy skies on the day of Holi on Wednesday morning, and parts of central Jharkhand such as Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur and Giridih.saw a light drizzle. 

As the day of Holi progressed, however,the people played and exchanged colourful water and gulal amid cloudy day with drizzle in between. In post lunch period the clouds partly dispersed and by late afternoon it was again a cloudy mixed with sunny day.

The weather bureau attributed cloudy conditions to a “trough over Bay of Bengal ”. The cloudy weather. is likely to continue till March 25, says weather predictors.
