Another Jharkhand cadre IAS officer is under the radar of the Enforcement Directorate. The ED sleuths have conducted raids at multiple premises of Ranchi Ex-Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan in West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand in connection with a land scam case.

Two locations in West Bengal, one in Bihar and the rest in Jamshedpur and Ranchi were witnessing ED sleuths conducting raids.

Chhavi Ranjan is the Director of the Social Welfare Department. 

Sources say Chhavi Ranjan has been involved in the sale and purchase of land belonging to the Indian Army in Bariyatu, Ranchi.” In league with Circle officers and others Chhavi Ranjan had violated rules and regulations to transfer the land rights over the Indian Army’s land”, said sources.

The ED has already quizzed a well-known real estate builder Vishnu Agrawal who is alleged to have indulged in the illegal sale and purchase of 4.5 acres of the Indian Army’s land.

Prior to Chhavi Ranjan, IAS officer Puja Singhal was arrested by the ED. She is currently in Jail.
