Tension prevails in steel city Bokaro following alleged vandalisation of a temple.

The alleged vandalisation took place in the Kasia Tanr area of Bokaro on Saturday, it is learnt. 

Inquiry revealed that an idol of Lord Hanuman was broken and then taken out of the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. Also, the Shivling was also found destroyed.

Police reached the spot upon receiving information and launched an investigation.No arrest has taken place till Saturday late afternoon.

A group of Hindus had taken out procession in the area and demanded “immediate arrest” of the culprits. The police force was deployed near the vandalised temple.
