RJD president Lalu Prasad returned to his hometown Patna in Bihar on Friday.

His homecoming takes place at a time his ally JD chief and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is busy trying to unite Opposition parties in the country. No wonder, why talks in the political corridor are whether Lalu Yadav will help Nitish Kumar gain success in bringing unity among Opposition parties against the BJP led by PM Narendra Modi ahead of the general elections 2024.

Lalu Prasad Yadav, whose reported unconditional offer of support to Nitish Kumar, an arch-rival, who was dubbed by him as “ Paltu Ram”, had helped the latter survive in power by breaking ties with former ally BJP.

In any case, Lalu Prasad Yadav has come back to his Patna home after a gap of seven months from Singapore where he had undergone a kidney transplant operation followed by a long period of recuperation in Delhi.

A photo shows Lalu Prasad Yadav was taken out of the Patna airport in a wheelchair. He looked weak and frail in a T-shirt.
