A joint team of Maharashtra and Jharkhand police has arrested a famous gangster Aman Srivastava. After he was nabbed in Mumbai, he was brought to Ranchi, informed Jharkhand DHP Ajay Kumar Singh.
Aman Srivastava, who had been on the run for the past eight years, was known as a symbol of terror.As many as 23 criminal cases including murder, ransom and kidnapping were pending against him.
Investigations by the police had revealed that he directed his gang men as a to collect ransom from businessmen in coalfield areas and contractors involved in development works by creating a sense of terror and indulging in firing and arson in Jharkhand and neighbouring areas of Bihar and Odisha.
As per the FIR lodged at the Anti-Terrorism Squad in Ranchi, there were 15 accused. Apart from the gang leader was Aman Srivastava, his brother Abhik Srivastava, brother-in-law Chandra Prakash Ranu, Sister Manjari Srivastava, Cousin brother Princeraj Srivastava, associate Vinod Kumar Pandey, Jahir Ansari, Feroz Khan alias Sana Khan, Mazmud alias Nepali, Aslam, Siddharth Sahu and others.
